USE OF VERB "TO BE"

  What is Verb "To be"? 👓📗 It is one of the auxiliary verbs in English along with to do, to have and will. When you perform the role of auxiliary verb it is meaningless and depends on the meaning of the sentence. It is quite irregular, simple verbal times are few, not all are necessary to learn by heart, most are compounds where the verb to be is regular. 👍AFFIRMATIVE In its affirmative form, it confirms characteristics of the subject and is placed after it.We use that to make sentences in positive way using are, is or am. 👎 NEGATIVE In spoken English, the words "is not" and "are not" are almost never pronounced as such, but the sound of the "o" in "not" is usually eliminated: "is not"                                  Sujeto VerB NOT COMPLEMENT MEANING IN SPANISH I am not a student. INTERROGATIVE ❓ In Spanish, the interrogative and the affirmative are often practically the same and the question "¿" is added before the phrase and the "?" then. However, in English the order of the words is changed and then the "?" Is added. (With the verb "to be" you simply exchange the verb "to be" with the subject to ask a question.)
